Abraham’s righteousness(亚伯拉罕的义)
Rom.(罗马) 4:1-8

Intro.:

b. Life of Abraham(亚伯拉罕的一生)

Abraham is a descendent of Shem and son of Terah;(亚伯拉罕是闪的后代，他拉的儿子；)
husband of Sarah and as father of Isaac,(撒拉的丈夫，以撒的爸爸)
ancestor of the Hebrew nation and of others nations through Ishmael.(是犹太国的祖先，也从以实玛利作其他国的祖先。)

Name: from Abram to Abraham(从亚伯兰到亚伯拉罕)
Career: 75 years old left Harran to Canaan(75岁离开哈兰到迦南)
Then God makes a covenant with him;(神与他立约)
giving him the land and the family(Ishmael; Isaac)(要赐他土地和家庭，以实玛利和撒拉)
175 years old dies at Machpelah.(175岁死于麦比拉)
He worships the only true God all his life.(他一生敬拜独一的真神)
He is always obedient to what God says to him.(总是顺从神的指示)
What is his weakness?(他有什么弱点呢？)

Body:

1. Reckoning of righteousness by God(神算为义)(vv.1-5)
   Why Abraham can not boast before God?(为何亚伯拉罕不能在神面前夸口)
   V3=Gen. 15:6; Abraham was counted as righteous in God’s sight because of his faith.(亚伯拉罕在神的面前称为义是因他的信心。)
   Working  VS  believing (做工 对 相信)
   Doing   VS  receiving (行为 对 接受)
   Human beings are naturally given to pride and are deluded by their goodness.(人自然会陷入自豪，迷失在自己的善)
   But no one’s goodness merits God’s salvation. It is only by grace through faith.(但没人可用善赚得神的救恩。是神的恩典藉着人的信。)
   Believing is receiving is not working; it is God who reckons us of righteousness(相信是接受，不是工作；是神算我们为义。)

2. Not reckoning sin by God (神不算有罪)(vv.6-8)
   This is David’s personal experience in Psalm 32:1-2.(这是大卫亲身的经验记载在诗篇32:1-2)
   It is God’s action to forgive our transgression.(是神的行动来赦免我们的过错。)Forgiveness of sin = becoming righteous.(罪得赦免等于得称为义)
   Blessedness is not being reckoning sin by God.( 神不算有罪是有福的)

Conclusion:  

Abraham was justified by faith.(亚伯拉罕因信被称为义)
The promise given to Abraham will also be given to those who will believe in the one who keeps His promise.(给亚伯拉罕的应许，也要给那些将相信那位守约的神的人身上。
They will receive the gifts of salvation and righteousness.(他们得到的礼物是救恩和称义)
