Tsukuba International Church's 20th Anniversary Highlights

Sis. Yumi Kumada visited Fuchu Penitentiary during its Christmas Event, met Pastor Wang Ai Kuang and Elder Joe Yu of Tokyo International Christian Church. They saw for the first time the vision of a Tsukuba church.
Feb. 21, 1981
Some Tokyo International Christian Church leaders visited Tsukuba for the first time. Started theTsukuba Gospel Fellowship.
Nov. 21, 1983
Church dedication worship. Pastor Oyamada Tadashi was installed as our first pastor. Church deacons elected to assist the Pastor in church management.
Dec. 4, 1983
Started the children's Sunday School, Mrs. Oyamada was its first principal.
May. 26-27, 1984
Held our first evangelistic meeting.
July. 15, 1984
was able to pay back the loan balance of 12 million yen, which was incurred during the construction of the church building.
July. 29, 1984
Deacon's group was renamed Coworkers group, scheduled to meet once every quarter.
Nov. 25, 1984
First Church Anniversary worship. Published the first issue of 'Green Pastures'.
Sept. 22, 1985
Invited Pastor Carter from Pacific Broadcasting to share about overseas mission.
July. 27, 1986
Pastor Oyamada ended his two years ministry at our church.
Sept. 23, 1987
Invited Pastor Chen Chao Kuei of Taipei's Chin Mei Church as guest speaker of our Autumn's Retreat, entitled 'Lively Christians'.
Oct. 25, 1987
Church decided to extend the church building. Set up the church rebuilding fund with the reconstruction to be finished by June 1988.
Sept. 6, 1988
Installed Pastor Chen Chao Kuei as our second Pastor.
July. 23, 1989
Pastor Shi of Taipei's Chin Mei Church together with 21 church members visited our church.
May. 6, 1990
Gave a farewell gathering for Rev. and Mrs. Davis, after more than four years of service at our church. They went back to the US.
June. 17, 1990
Elected 6 deacons to help the Pastor in church work.
Sept. 29, 1991
Pastor Chen ended his 3 years service at our church.
Aug. 8, 1993
Pastor Wun Hong Shing came to help us as temporary Pastor for 3 months.
Jan. 2, 1994
Pastor Ruan Chia Seng came to help us as temporary Pastor.

The English Bible Study Group was organized.

Pastor Tong Chun Fa served as temporary Pastor for 6 months.

Bro Eugene Liu moved to Engineering dept of Fukui University to study. Met Bro. Chen Sie Fa of the mother church . They organized to Fukui Chinese Christian Fellowship.

Revived the church rebuilding plan which was first planned Oct. 1987. Members were encouraged to actively participate in giving to the fund.

Joint Worship Service with Chiba Sakura Taiwanese Christian Church and Fukui Chinese Christian Fellowship.

Church contributed to the Hanshin Earthquake Relief Fund.

Pastor Chen Shi Chian of Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism visited our church
July. 2, 1995
Pastor Tad Huang was installed as our third Pastor.

The Japanese Bible Study Group was organized.
Oct. 1995
Pastor Huang went back to Taiwan for his visa processing. Sis. Huang Li Ching helped us for 3 months in lieu of the Pastor.
Nov. 26, 1995
Thanksgiving Worship in celebration of the 12th anniversary of the church. Published the 2nd issue of 'Green Pastures'.
March. 4, 1996
Contributed to the relief fund for Yun Nan Earthquake in China.
Sept. 22, 1996
Pastor Tad Huang was formally ordained as a Pastor at our mother church.
Dec. 1996
Special Dedication Worship for the completion of the newly extended church building.

Contributed to Taiwan Yu San Seminary for its dormitory construction fund.

The Coworkers decided to set up a fund to support Sis. Chen Yu Lian (Len Len) in her seminary studies.

Contributed to India Evangelistic Outreach ministry.
Sept. 5, 1999
Set up the church scholarship fund.

Contributed to theTaiwan's Sept. 21 earthquake relief fund.

Contributed to Renewal Mission in their effort to send bibles to China.
Nov. 2000
Contributed to the ministry of Fukui Chinese Church, Scripture Union and Our Daily Bread.
Jan. 2001
Organized a committee to work out the new church land and building project. The target for the project fund for the first year was 3 million yen.
Jan. 2002
The coworkers group decided to invite Sis. Len Len as a church staff to help out in our Japanese Bible Study group. She was to serve for half year.
May. 2002
Bro. Liu Fu Chi was assigned as Coworkers' leader.
Jan. 2003
Contributed to Gideon International. Started the plan to celebrate the 20th anniversary with a worship service and the publication of 'Green Pasture'.
