Our Pastor

Pastor: Tad Huang

He came from Taiwan and was raised in a Christian family. Before becoming a full time minister he worked as a deacon of Grace Church, a Baptist church at Chungli, Taiwan. At 39 he responded to God’s calling for full time ministry and went to the US for his seminary studies.

Upon graduation, he came to Tsukuba and became our third ordained Pastor.

Right now Pastor Tad and wife Dora work together for God. Their two daughters grew up in Tsukuba. In God’s grace, their eldest daughter Esther responded to the call of God, and is now taking up Theological Studies at the same seminary of her father.

Pastor Huang is a person whom we can describe as jolly, good at table tennis, conversant at English and good at cooking.

From Pastor:

The Spirit of the Village People

Compared with other big cities, Tsukuba is a village. In general, the village people are hospitable and easy to get along with. This church has been here for more than 20 years. In between those years many people came and many went away; and by God's grace it still exists. May this church continue to proclaim the gospel with those who will come in the spirit of the village people.

Villagers depend on heaven for their needs. Sometimes they have bounty, but sometimes they experience scarcity. In the same way, this church depends on God. When members grow, the church receives more tithes and offerings but oftentimes it tries to make both ends meet. But we believe we need to depend on God to expand God's kingdom and be the light in the community. May God touch you to offer for this church's project to raise fund for a new land and church building.

Lastly, villagers are hardworking. They just work hard and wait for God's blessing. In the same way we should work hard to tell people the good news although we don't know whether they will believe or not. Since we have this Great Commission, we ought to work hard. May God remember what you do for Him and others. We give all the praises and glory back to God. Amen.
